Bio

Herb Bruce Puryear, Ph.D., president and co-founder, with his wife Anne, of the Logos Center, incorporated in 1983 in Arizona. He was on the psychology faculty at Trinity University in San Antonio, spent two years in laboratory research on the psychophysiology of sleep and dreaming, was in private practice in psychotherapy featuring dream interpretation, and was a clinical consultant to the psychology department at the San Antonio State Hospital. He is a graduate of Stanford University (B.A.) and University of North Carolina (M.A. and Ph.D.). In 1969, he joined the Edgar Cayce foundation, A.R.E., in Virginia Beach as Director of Education and Research and president of Atlantic University. He has frequently been written about and introduced as one of the world’s experts on the Edgar Cayce readings. He was the featured guest speaker on two national PBS thirteen-week series and he and his wife were weekly co-hosts on two local TV shows for five years. Herb has authored eight books, including the Bantam international best seller, The Edgar Cayce Primer, and has been published in numerous scientific publications.
